Inspired Campaigns: KLM Wants To Put Your Face On A Plane

A few weeks ago we started to feature the most innovative and creative advertising & PR campaigns out there so we reviewed quite a few interesting campaigns, most of them trying to embed social media in the mix. But the new Tile Inspire campaign from KLM really stands out because it’s very simple and super exciting – you can get your face on a PLANE!

What’s the deal?

KLM is plastering one of its airplanes with Facebook profile photos from its fan page. The idea came from the tradition of Delft tiles, where people in the Netherlands would place ceramic blue tiles — normally decorated with pictures of windmills and fishing boats — around their home. Check out the video below!

How to enter the contest?

Jump on TileYourself.com or on Tile & Inspire page on Facebook and use one of your photos or upload a new one from desktop, choose a frame and type an inspirational message. Then you then have an option to be entered into the contest to have your Delft tile included on the airplane. That’s it!

How can one find out if the submitted “tile” has indeed been placed on the aircraft?\

    With best regards,
