So this is the eleventh edition of Be Inspired and boy did I have a lot of bookmarks to get through, I’ve reduced them down as I always do when I have too many, quality over quantity and all that. Quite a few videos this time around with the normal bit of print and the oddities. Got to have a good balance to keep you inspired.
Album cover with poster for Slovakian music band The Uniques. The band site says the poster features original artwork by themselves.
496 page publication to accompany exhibition at the Kunsthaus Dresden. It deals with the situation of post-socialist citys after almost 15 years of free market economy.
“This is a promotional poster I designed, inspired by and as a follow-up to my final master project: Misspent. It is screenprinted with great care by the talented folks at Get a Grip. I used 270 gsm Colorplan Ebony as the stock and the design is composed of 3 spot inks.”
Interactive music video for Arcade Fire’s new single “The Wilderness Downtown” by B-Reel. Type in your address and local Google Earth and Streetview imagery is used in the music video.
Made to brighten up your day this is a charming animation produced by Yum Yum London. Not sure what sort of animation though.
I am inspired by strange things, and this is one such ‘strange thing’. It’s a 3D model of HIV. It’s the colours that grabbed me initially, then the detailing.
“RGB MOVE is a motion arts project commissioned by CODE Motion Pictures. Created entirely with still photographs, and lit with photographic strobe lights, RGB MOVE blurs the lines between photography and the moving image”.
“My paintings are made in above and below freezing, high and low altitude and I must become more sensitive to things outside myself. This is a physical investigation of our planet using paint as my translator and mediator with nature and I learn about paint and nature simultaneously.”
Just a little bit of fun in advertising, pay attention to what the singer is saying as well, it’s not your normal wording.
Continuing the fun, nice little sketchy animation.
“Monthly Program Brochures with information regarding upcoming events hosted by the CCVF, Centro Cultural Vila Flor, Guimarães”.
