This is a guest post by Tiago Veloso, the founder of Visual Loop, a collaborative digital environment for everything related to information design and data visualization. He lives in Brazil, and you can connect with him online on Tumblr, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Among the main events that made September 2013 such an unique month, we have to point out the rising tension in Syria, the German elections and the shooting at Washington Navy Yard, all of which were vastly illustrated with infographics, both print and online.

Of course there we many other important milestones, for all kinds of ‘tribes’. The gamer community received very well GTA V, sports fans heated up with the beginning of the major European football leagues and for those who like entertainment on television, lots of emotions with the season finales of Dexter and Breaking Bad.

For us at Visual loop, it was another month of data-viz-galore, with hundreds of interactive visualization, vintage maps and charts, and infographics from newspapers and magazines.

Here’s the best of Visual Loop in September.
