Here we are with the first ‘Best of Visual Loop’ of 2014 – a look back at some of the best content published on visualoop.com during January 2013. And,despite the holiday season and new year festivities, it was a month filled with interesting news, articles, resources and, of course, some of the best interactive and print infographics published all across the Internet.

Among the events that were illustrated in infographics, we had the terrible accident of Michael Schumacher, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ballon d’Or award, and most recently the State of the Union Adress. Big news such as The New York Times’ website redesign were featured on our weekly round up of Data Viz News – a column that is rapidly becoming one of the favorites of our readers.
